Meet Bobby

Allow us to introduce you to Bobby Blair, a prominent figure in the world of tennis.

Bobby Blair's journey in tennis has been nothing short of remarkable. A former world-ranked professional player, he left an indelible mark as one of the finest junior and collegiate talents in the 1980s. Bobby's prowess was evident from a young age, as he clinched the title of Florida State junior champion in the boys 16 & under category in 1981. He continued to shine, reaching the #1 ranking in Florida for boys 18 & under in 1983.

His achievements extended to the national stage, as he secured a top 5 ranking in the United States for Boys 18 & under, and made it to the finals of the USTA National Boys 18 & under National Clay court championships, engaging in a memorable three-set marathon with a future top 10 player in the world, Aaron Krickstein.

Taking his talents to NCAA Division 1 tennis, Bobby remained a force to be reckoned with, earning a top 5 national ranking and being hailed as the #1 collegiate recruit nationwide in the class of 1983. As a professional player, Bobby's determination paid off, as he defeated several top 10 players in the world, including Wimbledon Champion Pat Cash at the prestigious Tournament of Champions in Forest Hills, NY. He also claimed victory in two professional tournaments.

After his playing career, Bobby ventured into the world of sports management, becoming one of the youngest general managers in professional sports franchise history with World Team Tennis, under the guidance of his first professional mentor, the legendary Billie Jean King. In the 1990s, he served as a USTA national tennis coach and later owned and operated one of the largest tennis academies in the United States, located in Orlando, FL.

In 2017, Bobby launched Tennis.Life, a global professional tennis media network, further establishing his presence in the tennis world. In 2022, he joined forces with the Rafael Nadal Foundation, showcasing Rafa's iconic "VAMOS" portrait alongside the incredible tennis artwork of Ted Dimond at pop-up art galleries, delighting avid tennis fans.
